Tia-Louise Rigney is a Master of Development Studies student at the University of Melbourne.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in International Studies. Through her studies, she developed interests in the relationships between institutions, governance, inequality, and lived experiences. Her academic interests sit at the intersection of anthropology, development studies, child protection, and social policy.

Tia-Louise’s work is guided by questions surrounding how institutions operate, how systems respond to complex social issues, and how governance structures influence experiences of care, support, and protection.
